Day 2, 14-day UX Writing Challenge
The Prompt
Ideation Process
In order to better understand the prompt, I came up with a fictional character who represents the person the prompt describes. Let’s call her Ama.
Ama is a football fan, and she never walks alone. But, she’s a banker who works long hours. She also has 2 children. Her weekdays are spent getting ready for work, and getting her kids ready for school, working, and picking the kids up after school. In a past life, she would have dedicated her Saturdays to football, but between taking her daughter to coding class, and taking her son to violin practice, there isn’t much time for that.
However, as a football fan, it’s important to her that she stays on top of the beautiful game.
An app that helps her stay connected to her favourite sports team would be a great idea. Let’s call this app ‘CatchUp’.
Using CatchUp, Ama can follow her favourite team, and switch allegiances when her team breaks her heart (just in case!). She can get game reminders so she can catch the game on those rare occasions that she has a little time on her hands. And if there is not enough time, she can follow the game with live updates and scorelines, and updates after the game.
The promotional screen should tell Ama what she can do with the app. It should also give her the opportunity to sign up with Google (she’s busy, and may not have time to fill out a lengthy sign-up form). In addition, she should have the option of signing up later (in case she’s not fully convinced that she needs the app).
Goal
· To help Ama stay connected to her hobby, no matter her current lifestyle and responsibilities
Voice and Tone
· Positive
· Motivating
