Ideation Process
Today’s user is Susan the Super Saver!
Susan shops at Grocerita, her favourite supermarket. She buys fresh produce, food and household items for herself at this supermarket every week.
It takes up quite a bit of her time. Now, Grocerita has an app that allows Susan to see what is on sale, so she can make informed decisions about what she buys.
I can understand why Grocerita is Susan’s favourite supermarket. The app is a great idea. But that’s not all!
Grocerita has recently introduced a service which would let’s Susan shop online and have the goods delivered.
This will have a couple of benefits for Susan.
Firstly it’s convenient. Secondly, it would save her a bit of time (and perhaps money too, because time is money).
Thirdly, she only has to pay a flat fee.
The promotional screen has to highlight all these features to make the delivery service more appealing to Susan.
Since she is already a user of the app, there could be a “Sign up now” button that would enable her to quickly sign up for the service.
But what about if Susan does not want to sign up for this service? It’s possible that she actually loves shopping at Grocerita and looks forward to her weekly shopping trip.
In that case, there should be a button that says “Later”.
This button would give her the opportunity to ignore the promotional message if she is not interested, or shelve the idea of using the delivery service (just in case she changes her mind someday).
Goal
To inform Susan about the benefits of using the delivery service, and give her the option of using it.
